What is a Cop Magnet?

A Cop Magnet can be many things, but in the case of this Website, a Cop Magnet (CopMagnet) is one of two Corvette racecars of YourNew.com Racing. These cars are driven thousands of miles on public streets and highways across America to compete at road-racing events. This is certainly a way to attract the attention of Law Enforcement. Thus, we chose the name CopMagnet.com. Both of the YourNew.com Racing Corvettes, CopMagnet One (Black 2007 Corvette Z51) and CopMagnet II (Jetstream Blue 2008 Corvette Z06) have participated in the Cannonball One Lap of America. CopMagnet One competed and placed 21st in the 2007 Cannonball One Lap of America and CopMagnet II competed and placed 22nd in the 25th Anniversary 2008 Cannonball One Lap of America.

The CopMagnet Corvettes may be seen at racetracks all across America, and in some instances, you can even catch a ride in a CopMagnet. See our 2008 track schedule for a location near you and come out and see what a CopMagnet Corvette is all about.

Recent Highlights (updated June 9)

Here are just a couple on-track highlights of Mark Murnahan driving at Mid-America Motorplex in CopMagnet II (2008 Corvette Z06). When the track was dry, our lap times at Mid-America Motorplex leveled out to a shocking 1 minute 41 seconds on Street Tires and with passengers! Our June 7th and 8th trip to Mid-America Motorplex in Pacific Junction, Iowa was great fun, and we look forward to the next Iowa Chapter BMWCCA event.

2008 Cannonball One Lap of America (Cannonball Run)

During the 2008 Cannonball One Lap of America (formerly known as Cannonball Run, and officially known as The Tire Rack Cannonball One Lap of America), YourNew.com, Inc. produced a Live Webcast here at CopMagnet.com. We also provided a Live GPS Feed, Live In-Car Chat, race videos, One Lap of America updates, and more.

CopMagnet II Z06 Gobbling Up Porsche at Heartland Park Topeka

The clips below show what CopMagnet II does to shatter people's childhood dreams of Porsche. We still have not received our tires from Tire Rack, so we had to use some old junk tires off CopMagnet One on the rear (which were way too small for the Z06) and we used the stock run-flat tires on the front. Once we heated up the bald (below wear indicators) tires, we made these Porsche look like they were standing still!

Mark Murnahan Announces 2008 Cannonball One Lap of America Co-Driver

Following much deliberation over who will co-drive with me for 2008, I am happy to announce that Steve Gerber of Manhattan Kansas will join me for the 25th Cannonball One Lap of America. Steve is a good friend to me, and has been a very eager student of mine at multiple high performance driving schools. This will surely take Steve's study to a whole new level.
